PM Young Achievers Scholarship
The PM Young Achievers Scholarship Grant Scheme for a Vibrant India is an educational scheme run by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to economically weaker and underprivileged students. Eligible students include OBCs, Dalits, Scheduled Castes, De-Notified Communities, and Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes.
The program was launched in 2012, and has been growing steadily ever since. Applicants must be in Class 9 and above and must demonstrate exceptional achievement and ambition in their academic program. In addition to monetary assistance, the program offers financial support for five adjustment factors. A student who is awarded a PM YASASVI scholarship will receive a bursary or scholarship of around $1000 each year. Those who qualify will receive awards in the spring of 2022.
What is the Eligibility Criteria?
Eligible school students can apply for the scheme online. The last date to apply is 26 August 2022. The scholarship awarding process is conducted for students who are studying in class IX and Class XI. The scholarship application process requires no entrance exam fee and can be completed online. Students in Class 9 to 11 are eligible for this scheme. Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance in a particular subject.
Selection Process
Students from Class 9 to Class 11 in India can apply for the scholarship if they qualify for the YASASVI test. The test will be conducted online, and will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions. Students are encouraged to take as many practice tests as possible before the exam. The result of the exam will determine how much of the award the applicant is eligible for. The Scholarship will be awarded to the student who achieves the highest score in the YASASVI entrance exam.
