NEC Scholarship under Courses:
- Graduate Degree Courses
- PG Diploma Courses
- Diploma / Certificate Courses
- Phil & Ph.D
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applying Contenders must be a permanent resident of any of the States in the North East
- Contestants must possess the relevant qualifications required from a well-recognized institution or university.
- For general candidates: maximum marks 55%
- For SC/ST candidates: 50%
- Qualifying examination for Diploma, Degree, and Post-Graduate courses
- In-service aspirants are not covered by this scheme.

Selection Procedure:
After proper advertisement and following the selection procedure as outlined at Annexure V, Selection of the aspirants for Diploma level upwards will be made by the State Govt.
Procedure to apply online for NEC Scholarship
- First of all, check the eligibility criteria which is mention above
- Then need to visit the official website of the department that is megeducation.gov.in / scholarships.gov.in.
- On the home page find the “State Scheme” tab and a new page will appear on your digital screen link and hit on it.
- After that, a notification will appear on your digital screen regarding NEC Scholarship.
- After reading the notification, you have to hit on “Apply” link
- Then fill the application form accurately and also attach the relevant documents and recheck the application form of North Eastern Council scholarship
- Finally, take a print for future use
