Through this program, KEF seeks to establish a robust support system at the grassroots level, going beyond financial assistance, to foster holistic education and development for the future youth of our nation.
Financial Assistance for Class 11+ Students in Mumbai
Under the Kotak Junior Scholarship 2023-24, students who are enrolled in Class 11 at junior colleges or schools within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region will receive a monthly financial assistance of INR 3,000. This support will ensure that these bright young minds can continue their educational journey without any financial constraints, paving the way for a promising future.
Eligibility Criteria for Kotak Scholarship Scheme
To be eligible for the Kotak Junior Scholarship 2023-24, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Attained a minimum of 85% marks in the Class 10 board examination (SSC/CBSE/ICSE) in 2023.
- Annual family income not exceeding Rs. 3,20,000/-.
- Secured admission in Class 11 at junior colleges or schools in Mumbai for Arts, Commerce, and Science Streams, within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region* for the academic year 2023-24.
- Children of employees working at Kotak Education Foundation are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Benefits of Kotak Education Foundation Scholarship
The Kotak Scholarship Scheme 2023-24 provides a monthly stipend of INR 3,000 to the selected students. It is important to note the following details regarding the scholarship:
- The scholarship committee will reimburse the scholarship amount on a quarterly basis.
- The fund is exclusively designated for academic expenses, including tuition fees, books, stationery, travel, and other related educational needs.
- The utilization of the fund can be tailored based on the specific requirements of the Kotak Education Foundation.
Required Documents for Scholarship
Applicants must provide the following documents while applying for the Kotak Scholarship:
- Income certificate from the collector’s office (either Maharashtra or Indian Govt.) (mandatory)
- Recent passport-size photograph (mandatory)
- Aadhaar card of both the parents and student (mandatory)
- PAN card of at least one earning parent/guardian
- SSC (Class 10) marksheet – e-copy allowed (mandatory)
- School leaving certificate
- If any family member has paid income tax or filed an IT return, the latest copy of the IT return along with 26AS
- Death certificate in the case of a single parent
- Student’s bank account (bank statement or the first page of the bank passbook)
