Introducing the Abhilasha Scholarship 2024, a forward-thinking initiative proudly presented by the esteemed EROS Group. The EROS Scholarship is a heartfelt commitment to empowering the promising futures of young women through the transformative force of education. Designed as a catalyst for positive change, their noble endeavor aims to offer a life-changing opportunity to a handpicked group of 100 exceptionally deserving students, spanning grades 9th to 12th. To qualify for this esteemed scholarship, aspiring female scholars must demonstrate their outstanding abilities by attaining a minimum score of 75% in their previous examinations.
The Abhilasha Scholarship 2024 was started by the EROS Group in honor of the famous female reformer Abhilasha. It is available only to girls studying from class 8 to 10 in Maharashtra. The DST Women Scientist Fellowship (WOS-A) is a fellowship program that will award up to INR 55,000 per month to the successful applicant. The selected students for this program will have to attend a mandatory summer institute where they will work in Professor Loren Frank’s lab.
The Abhilasha Scholarship is open to girls from underprivileged or needful backgrounds studying in a recognized university or college. Applicants must have completed class 12 or 10 in a government school and have applied for admission to a three-year degree or diploma program. They can apply online from August to September. The scholarship is worth INR 24,000 per annum and covers miscellaneous expenses. It is worth applying if you want to pursue a career in the sciences.
Importance of Scholarship for Girls
The Scholarship Scheme is for female students. The girl must be studying in classes 9 to 12 and must have 75 % in last year’s exam. The family income must not exceed INR 3 lakhs per annum can apply for this scholarship.
Selection process: The department team will shortlist the applicants based on the eligibility criteria, followed by conducting a telephone interview.
Abhilasha Award Amount
Candidates after selection will get a one-time cash award of INR 5000.
